Numbur Cheese Circuit Trek

The Numbur Cheese Circuit Trekking is a fairly new route for passionate trekkers, established in the Ramechhap district of eastern Nepal. The trail is named after the beautiful Mt. Numberchuli (6,959m) and the first Yak cheese factory established here in 1957 AD. It is one the budding trek trails of the Gauri Shanker Conservation Area (GCA) carrying huge potential for tourism.

Connecting two lovely rivers, Likhu and Khimti in the lap of the Everest and Rowaling region, this trek route is famous for the picturesque view of the hills, villages and mountains it offers. Adding to that, this trek will also give you the chance to observe and be the part of the ancient culture of different ethnic groups living here such as: Newar, Tamang, Thamli, Hyolmo, and Sherpa among others, unscathed by modernity.

Number Cheese Circuit offers spectacular view of the snowcapped Langtang, Jugal, Gauri Shankar, Numburchuli, Ramdung and other mounts. Icy lakes, profound river gorges, rice fields, subtropical jungle and the Likhu river glacier. This trek route will serve as the mystic Shangri-La, for trekkers seeking a break from their hectic lives. If you visit somewhere between April and May, you can see forests decorated with the rhododendron flowers. Luckily, we will be able to see the exotic Musk deer, Himalayan Thar, Eagles, Snow leopards, in this area rich in biodiversity. This trekking route also boasts of wonderful pasturelands of Manedanda, Kholakharka, Tare and outstanding glaciers like Likhu Glacier, Surmoche Glacier and etc. You will also get to visit the enchanting Panch Pokhari, Dudh Pokhari, Bhale Pokhari, and Baula Pokhari significant to the Hindu pilgrims.
