Panch Pokhari Trekking

Overview

One of the recently opened trekking routes in Nepal is Panch Pokhari trekking, situated not so far from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. Due to the less popularity, the region is less visited by the tourist or less crowded. But the marvelous view of the high hills from this trekking region is grabbing the attention of many trekkers towards this region now a days. Not only is the pristine view of the high hills, but also the trekking trail also enriched with the rich culture of the local people with the bio-diversity and natural beauty. The trekking at the Panch Pokhari offers the trekkers with the fantastic view of Jugal, Langtang, Rolwaling, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shankar, and Langtang Himalaya range and it goes through the beautiful and traditional village of Tamang and Sherpa people. Mainly the trekking at Langtang region will be camping trekking only. The unusual combination of the nature with the culture of the people had made this place an interesting place to trek. Moreover, it focuses on to visit at the religious and historic palces of Langtang which is similar to the Tibetan Culture.

The Panch Pokhari has the religious and legendary value. In Janaipurnima Hindu people from different parts of Nepal used to visit and taking bath at holy Lake Panch Pokhari. The major attraction of trekking at the Panch Pokhari is the five separate Pokhari in single ground can be seen. Moreover, the tantalizing shadow of various White Mountain in the fresh water of the lake and glorious view of the surroundings are unforgettable. The Panch Pokhari trekking trial goes all the way through the wonderful lands and beautiful waterfalls of Langtang area. Similarly, the unique life styles of the local Tamang, Gurung, Sherpa people living at the region following the Buddhism and Hinduism will be a plus point for the attraction for many trekkers in Nepal. Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival at Kathmandu.

After getting in the flight at your own lands, your flight will begin to enter at the land of the Himalayas. The glorious view of the high hills from the flight will enables you to make guess that you are now entering at the beautiful land of the earth, Nepal. After getting off the flight, you will be guided towards the HOTEL ROOM by the representative of the Nepal Eco Adventure.

Day 2
Kathmandu to Chautara (1200m).

From Kathmandu we will officially begin our journey towards the Panch Pokhari by driving towards the Chautara. The drive will continue for about 5 hours and rest of the day we will explore the region. the night will be at the Chautara at one of the local lodges.

Day 3
Chautara to Phurse (2050m).

From Chautara, we will walk towards the Phurse viewing the wonderful view of the surroundings. Walking for about 5 to 6 hours will enables us to reach at the Phurse at the altitude of 2050m above sea level. During this trekking, we will enjoy the great view of the Mt. Gaurishanker, Dorje Lakpa and many other similar mountains. Phurse is one of the beautiful and small Tamang villages. The night will be at Phurse at a tented camp.

Day 4
Phurse to Kami Kharka (2845m).

From Phurse, we will walk towards the beautiful region of Kami Kharka. The trek will continue for about 6 to 7 hours through the main trail. We will cross through several forests of the Oak, Pine, Rhododendron and other different types of vegetation. During the way we will be glorified with the glorious view of the high hills. The night will be at the tented camp at the Kami Kharka.

Day 5
Kami Kharka to Pauwa Bas (3000m).

From Kami Kharka, our trekking will move towards the Pauwa Bas. The trekking will continue for about 6 to 7 hours through the ascending and beautiful way. During trek, we will pass through the beautiful settlements of the Nomad people. The night will be at Pauwa Bas.

Day 6
Pauwa bas to Hile Bhanjyang (3400m).

From Pauwa bas, our trekking will move towards the Hile Bhanjyang with the early morning hiking for about 3 hours steeply towards the Hile Bhanjyang. The trail will pass through the forest of the Pine, Oak, Rhododendron. From the Hile Bhanjyang, we can enjoy the great view of the high hills. The night will be at the Hile Bhanjyang at a tented camp.

Day 7
Hile Bhanjyang to Nasim Pati (3700m).

From the Hile Bhanjyang, we will walk towards the Nasem Pati. The trekking will go for about 4 hours and obviously the trekking region will offers great view of the surroundings. The route will offer us great view of the high hills surrounded by the white snows from all sides. We will stay the night at the Nasim Pati at the altitude of 3700m by camping for tonight.

Day 8
Nasim Pati to Panch Pokhari (4100m).

From Nasim Pati we will make our trekking towards the Panch Pokhari to the altitude of 4100m. Panch Pokhari has great significance for the holy pilgrimages of Nepal. We can see the stunning view of the sunrise during our trek at this region. The view of the alpine vegetation and Rocky Mountains is the main attraction point of this region. After visiting at the Panch Pokhari for a while we will set up our camp to stay for the night.

Day 9
Panch Pokhari to Nasim Pati.

From the Panch Pokhari, we will return back to the Nasim Pati following the same trail steepy for several hours. The trekking route is rich in different types of vegetation. The night will be at the Nasim Pati at one of the tented camp. The night will be at the altitude of 3700m.

Day 10
Nasim Pati to Dukhang (2100m).

From Nasim Pati to Dukhang, the trail goes for about 6 to 7 hours through the mina trail offering the best panoramic view of the surroundings. We have to descend through the forest of Oak and Bamboo. During our trekking, we may encounter with the Himalayan Bear, White Monkey along with other different types of animals. Walking for about 6 hours will take us to the Dukhang. Dukhang is a small village of Tamang people. The night we will stay at this place. The night will be at the tented camp.

Day 11
Dukhang to Dhap (1200m).

From Dukhang, we will walk towards the Dhap. The trail will follow the bank of the Indrawati River which will offers us great view of the terrace farming along with the local settlements of the people. Dhap is one of the Tamang villages of the region which is located at the altitude of 1200m above the sea level. The night will be at the tented camp.

Day 12
Dhap to Melamchi Pul bazaar (800m).

From Dhap, we will walk towards the Melamchi Pul bazaar enjoying the great scene of the surroundings. The trail will follow the Indrawati River through the different villages and farming terraces. We also can see the hydropower project here. Here we can see some of the tea shops and lodges. Walking for about 6 to 7 hours will take us to the Melamchi Pul bazaar. The night will be at Melamchi pull bazaar at one of the local lodges.

Day 13
Melamchi Pull bazaar to Kathmandu.

From Melamchi we will drive back towards the Kathmandu through the main way. The trail will continue for about 3 to 4 hours drive. The night will be at Kathmandu enjoying with the friends.

Day 14
Farewell

From Kathmandu, we will walk towards the airport and will catch the flight towards the home destination. The farewell program organized by the Nepal Eco Adventure at the airport will be interesting to attend. After the farewell, we will board up in the flight and will fly towards the home.
