Kaligandaki Rafting

Overview

Kaligandaki River is one of the famous rafting rivers in Nepal. will be great due to the fast flowing water along with the splendid atmosphere. Thus, rafting at the Kaligandaki River will be interesting from the side of sightseeing too as we can get the majestic view of the Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna. We can reach at the Kaligandaki River after the drive for about 3 hours from the Pokhara. The trekking at the beautiful river at the Kaligandaki will be interesting because we can view the glorious view of the high hills like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Himalchuli, etc. The trekking trail that will lead us towards the Kali Gandaki River goes all the way through the remote regions which will take the short or medium length trip. The beautiful river of Kaligandaki will passes through the deep gorges along with the glorious waterfalls and jungles and some traditional and cultural villages of Magar and Chhetri. The rafting at the Kaligandaki River is a risky task. Thus, the rafters have to carry several things for their safety. And Nepal eco adventure is always there for the safety of its customers.

Kaligandaki river rafting will be interesting from the day one when we will enter into the fast flowing water waves of the Kaligandaki River. We can classify the rafting at the Kaligandaki into several grades. Mainly the grade of III- IV is given to rafting at the Kaligandaki River. Kaligandaki looks black in color due to the presence of black stones at it. We can spend several days around the kali Gandaki River to explore more about the regions. All in all, rafting at the Kali Gandaki River will be interesting as well as safety with the crew members of Nepal eco adventure.

Itinerary

Day 1
Pokhara to Nayapul to Modi khola

From Pokhara we will drive towards the Nayapul for several hours and from the Nayapul, we will continue to trek towards the Modi khola and will camp there for the night. The leisure time can be spent at the Modi khola by rafting at the river. Overnight at the bank of the Modi khola in a tented camp will be interesting.

Day 2
Modi khola to Purti Ghat

The second day, we will begin our rafting at the Modi Khola after having the breakfast at the tented camp. During the rafting at the fast flowing water, we will be mesmerized with the magnificent view of the Mt. Annapurna (8091m) and Himalchuli (7893m). After the rafting at the river for whole day, we will rest the night at tented camp at Purti Ghat.

Day 3
Purti Ghat to Mirme to Pokhara

From Purti Ghat, we will have the last day of rafting at the Kaligandaki River. We will have our breakfast and raft for several hours at the river and while returning towards the Pokhara we will walk through the villages of the regions settled by different types of people following their own culture and tradition. We will return back to the Pokhara and the night will be resting at the Pokhara at one hotel.
