Trekking Route

The trekking journey starts with a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. After you arrive at the gateway of the Everest region, you will rest for some time and then continue your journey to Phakding.

This beautiful village settlement takes around three to four hours to arrive from Lukla. You will then spend the night at the teahouse. After resting for the night, you will wake up early in the morning and continue your journey to Namche. Namche Bazaar is a beautiful commercial town that was an important trading point between Nepal and China.

There are various exploration points in the region and high hills for hiking opportunities. After acclimatizing at Namche for the day, you will continue your track to Tengboche. The Tengboche is a religious settlement with an ancient monastery considered one of the oldest in the region.

Arriving at the base camp provides you with a sense of achievement. It also allows you to explore the extreme region up close. You can also take pictures of the vibrant atmosphere and capture it for memories.

Finally, you will track back to Gorak shep, where you will rest after an extended trekking day. The next day you will trek early in the morning to observe the incredible Himalayan Sunrise from Kala Patthar. The Kala Pathar viewpoint is probably the best to observe Mount Everest and other snow-clad mountains.

Finally, you will take a helicopter flight back to Lukla after exploring around. This way, you will skip around the returning trails, which reduces the trek's difficulty by a significant amount. Difficulty Level of this 10 days Everest Base camp Trek with Helicopter Return

This high-altitude trek will take you to the beautiful landscapes of the Himalayan region. However, this does not mean that you should overlook the challenges and difficulties you may face during this trek. The challenges and problems may range from various factors like high altitude rugged terrains and others. The challenges of the expedition get explained as follows:

Altitude sickness

Trekkers taking this high-altitude trek are prone to this acute mountain sickness. Low levels of oxygen in the atmosphere cause this sickness in high-altitude regions. It depends upon the trekker's ability to adapt to these conditions from low-level conditions in a short amount of time.

You will get to adjust to these high-altitude conditions, which can get achieved through acclimatization. Hence to tackle these conditions, you must hydrate well with proper rest and acclimatization.

Acclimatization is the essential aspect of any trekking adventure. However, you should avoid alcohol as it gets known to cause altitude sickness. During acclimatization days, you can explore around but not cover much altitude and instead explore around gradually.

Challenging Remote Terrains

The remote trails pose a tremendous challenge for the trekkers. The thrilling adventure will make even the most experienced trekkers work hard. The courses move uphill and downhill quite quickly in a short amount of time.

Trekkers will also have to trek for a long duration, around five to six hours. These conditions also get even more challenging in bad weather conditions with heavy rainfall, heavy snow, landslides, etc. Hence, proper fitness and stamina will help you through these terrains in the remote region.

Accommodations

The facilities for stay and meals in these terrains are pretty basic. You will not get anything fancy in these terrains regarding food and accommodation. Food ingredients in these high altitudes need to get transported with the help of either porters or yaks.

Hence, it is not feasible to get the best variety of foods on these terrains. Besides that, the place of stay in these terrains is in the teahouse. They offer a simple room with beds, pillows, and blankets. The services cannot compare to what you will get in the cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara. Hence, it is a difficulty along these trails.

Therefore, these are the various challenges you will need to tackle in this Everest Base Camp Trek with helicopter return.
