Itinerary

Day 1
Drive from Kathmandu to Ngadi
Maximum altitude: 1450 m

Drive Duration: 6-7 hours

Overnight: Ngadi

Our 12 days Annapurna Circuit Trek starts from the capital city of Kathmandu. Our team will guide you from the pickup point and then transfer you to the destination of Ngadi on a scenic drive. Ngadi is a beautiful settlement in the hilly landscapes of the remote region. The lovely drive will pass through Besisahar and provide you with the incredible natural beauty of the area.

The total distance covered in this region is around 185 km which takes approximately 6 to 7 hours. You can observe local small shops and hotels selling food and other items on the highway. Finally, after arriving at Ngadi, you will have your meal and rest for the night at a local lodge.
Day 2
Trek from Ngadi to Chamje
Maximum Altitude: 2710m

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours

Overnight: Chamje

Our trekking journey in the 12 days Annapurna Circuit Trek starts from Ngadi as we trek to the beautiful Chamje. You will need to traverse incredible uphill climbs to arrive at the destination. You will go through the forested alpine trails crossing several small water streams.

There are other magnificent views of the snow-clad mountains along the course. The magical views of these natural diversities make the trek unique. After arriving at the destination of Chamje, you will rest at the local teahouse.
Day 3
Trek from Chamje to Bagarchap
Maximum Altitude: 2710m

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours

Overnight: Bagarchap

We will wake up early in the morning to observe the beautiful sunrise from the viewpoint of the teahouse. You will make your way through the magical terrains after breakfast. You can continue your journey through the challenging trails that will pass through various difficult landmarks of the region. There are various green forested trails in the area. You will trek for 4-5 hours to finally arrive at Bagarchap.
Day 4
Trek from Bagarchap to Chame
Maximum Altitude: 2710m

Trek Duration: 4-5 hours

Overnight: Chame

On this trekking day, you will travel to Chame from Bagarchap. The journey on a bus or a private vehicle is quite scenic as it passes through some of the most beautiful natural landmarks. These landmarks include hills, waterfalls, rivers, and others.

The route of this trek then passes through the serene Marsyangdi Valley. The mountain people have various local settlements, making the journey quite enchanting. There are multiple incredible sceneries throughout the way.

The challenging roads will pass through stony roads' beautiful terrains, experiencing the incredible trails. There are excellent roads that can be tough to cross, even for experienced travelers. We will trek through some of the most incredible villages in the region.

There are various viewpoints to observe the scenic vista along the trail. You can follow the snow-clad mountains of the area, including Annapurna II, Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, and others. Finally, after trekking for a few hours, you arrive at the village of Chame. You will spend the night at a teahouse in the town.
Day 5
Trek from Chame to Pisang
Maximum Altitude: 3115m

Trek Duration: 5 hours

Overnight: Pisang

We will continue our trekking journey on this day, passing through other naturally diverse terrains to arrive at Pisang. The journey of the Annapurna Circuit passes through steep and narrow paths. From there, you will pass through the beautiful Pingu Danda Rock (1500m). This incredible viewpoint provides you with magical scenic views of the snow-clad mountains.

There are curve-shaped rocks located near the area. Some trails provide you with green vegetation all along the route. Pisang is an excellent viewpoint from observing the Annapurna range peaks. There are various challenging trails that you need to cross before arriving at the beautiful village settlement of Pisang. You will spend the night at a teahouse or lodge in the village settlement.
Day 6
Trek from Pisang to Manang
Maximum Altitude: 3,540m

Trek Duration: 5 hours

Overnight: Manang

This journey starts with a walk in the beautiful Manang region from Pisang. In Pisang, you will get the best views of the snow-clad mountains from the viewpoint. You will have your breakfast after waking up early in the morning. Then, you will continue your journey through Upper Pisang towards Manang.

You will pass through the settlements of Geru along the way, which makes the trip quite enchanting. The trail offers you stunning majestic views of the Pisang Peak, Gangapurna, Tilicho, Annapurna II, and other snow-clad mountains.

The trekkers will also pass through the beautiful Tibetan settlements from where you can observe majestic silver mountains. There is also an ancient old monastery known as the Barge Monastery. From this viewpoint, you can watch the entirety of the Manang region. Overall, after trekking for a few hours, you will finally arrive at Manang.
Day 7
Acclimatization and Exploration in Manang
Manang is where you will acclimatize during your journey. The acclimatization process is essential for adapting to the quickly changing high altitude conditions. You will trek rapidly and gain altitude in quick succession during your trekking adventure.

Hence, to make sure you remain safe from acute mountain sickness, you will get to perform this acclimatization. This includes staying and exploring at the same altitude the night before. The trek acclimatization procedure will also allow you to explore the landscapes without gaining much altitude.

The comfortable hiking will allow you to explore the region closely. Various exploration points will make the 12 Days Annapurna Circuit trek even more special. You can explore the settlements of the local people. There is also the spiritual hub of Praken Gompa on the north side of the region. Finally, you will return to your tea house in the evening for the rest after acclimatization.
Day 8
Trek from Manang to Yak Kharka
Maximum Altitude: 4200m

Trek Duration: 3-4 hours

Overnight: Yak Kharka/Ledar

We will start this day of trekking from Manang. After acclimatization the earlier day, we will continue our journey passing through the beautiful natural terrains of the Manang region. The beautiful journey takes you to Yak Kharka (Pasture), which is quite similar to that of the viewpoint in the area.

The stunning view also allows you to take amazing pictures of the entire area. The landscape of the whole region is that of the Tibetan plateau, which makes the trip even more enchanting. You need to tackle various challenges to arrive at this destination. The semi-deserted hills and the region's unique landscapes will make this trip worthwhile.

You will traverse through the older parts of the Manang region, including Ginseng. You will finally arrive at Yak Kharka after trekking for a few hours. The mountains, including Annapurna, Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna, look incredible from the viewpoint. You will spend the night in Yak Kharka.
Day 9
Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
Maximum Altitude: 4,525m

Trek Duration: 4 to 5 hours

Overnight: Thorong Phedi (High Camp)

The outstanding Yak Kharka is the starting point of this section of the trek. The trail of this trek starts with a scenic walk uphill of the region. You will need to traverse various challenging landscapes before arriving at the destination.

You will need to trek for around 4 to 5 hours. The Yak Kharka lies at the Khola river beds. You will then cross the beautiful suspension bridge to reach your path to Phedi (4420m). The narrow trail passes through the region's incredible landscapes, including a landslide area.

You will climb a steep uphill terrain to arrive at the Thorung Phedi. The Thorong High Camp (Thorung Phedi) is ideal for acclimatizing during the journey. After arriving at Thorong High Camp, you will rest for the night.
Day 10
Trek from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath via Thorong la Pass
Maximum Altitude: 2,700 m

Trek Duration: 9 hours

Overnight: Muktinath

You will pass through the majestic Thorong La Pass from Thorong High Camp on this ultimate day of the journey. This incredible journey is one of the most anticipated Annapurna Base Camp trek sections.

First, you will wake up early in the morning as it is a long-duration trek. You will then ascend down the Thorung La Pass in a steep and challenging trail to Thorung La Pass. However, trekkers will get blessed with incredible views of the snow-clad mountains from the top, making the trip worthwhile.

Thorung La Pass (5416m), located at an incredible point, provides you with stunning all-encompassing views of the entire region, including the silver mountains. We will then trek downhill to arrive at the spiritual landmarks of Muktinath. Muktinath is the religious hub of the whole region where both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims worship.

Other areas are equally significant religiously, including Muktinath temple premises. These include the 108 stone water taps and the small kundas or the ponds in the temple premises. It takes only around 3-4 hours to arrive at the temple for the Thorong La pass.

You will then explore around the stunning temple premises basking in the religious significance. You can also explore the region's natural landscapes, including the Kali Gandaki river. Finally, after exploring the region, you will rest overnight at a teahouse in the Muktinath temple premises.
Day 11
Trek to Jomsom via Kagbeni
Maximum Altitude: 820 m

Flight Duration: 25 minutes

Overnight: Pokhara

We will continue our journey from Muktinath to Jomsom to Kagbeni. The Jomsom area is quite famous for traveling and touring purposes due to its unique landscapes compared to other parts of the country. There you can find many desert-like landscapes with barren areas. You will get a unique environment in Jomsom (2,700m) with a windy environment.

The apple farming of the region, along with its many apple products, including apple wine and apple juice, makes the trip quite memorable. After passing through the local settlement of Kagbeni, we will arrive at Jomsom. You can explore the area and spend the night at the Jomsom lodge or guesthouse.
Day 12
Fly from Jomsom-Pokhara and then Pokhara-Kathmandu
Maximum Altitude: 1400 m

Flight duration: 15 minutes, 25 minutes

We take a scenic flight from Jomsom. The majestic views of the entire region highlight this flight to arrive at the lake city of Pokhara. You will fly above the magnificent Himalayan landscapes getting up-close views of the region. There are various other landmarks of the city that you can observe from the top.

The Jomsom to Pokhara flight takes around 15 minutes. You will get to observe the incredible Annapurna region of mountains from the top. After this scenic flight, you will arrive at the settlement of Pokhara city. You will then travel back to Kathmandu from Pokhara on this day of the Annapurna Circuit trek 12 Days itinerary.

The scenic flight takes you above the beautiful landscapes of the region. The UNESCO heritage landmarks look unique from a different perspective up top. Finally, after traveling for 30 minutes, you will arrive at the destination of Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. From there you can travel to your next destination.
