Itinerary
As you enter the land of the Himalayas, you will be welcomed by the glorious views of the high hills and mountains as well as green fields and valleys. As you land in the Tribhuvan International Airport in the capital city, Kathmandu, you will be guided towards your hotel by a representative of Nepal Eco Adventure.
After breakfast, you will start your guided tour to world UNESCO heritage sites in Kathmandu. You will visit Pashupatinath Temple, house of the sacred linga (Phallic symbol of Lord Shiva). This temple is on the bank of Bagmati River which is also a sacred funeral site of Hindus. Bouddhanath is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimages in the world marked by the world’s biggest Stupa with colorful prayer flags. Kathmandu Durbar square is adorned by the temples and palaces built by medieval kings who ruled over the Kathmandu kingdom. One of the temples houses Goddess Kumari, the living Goddess. Swoyambhunath Stupa is located atop a hill and is another Buddhist pilgrimage site also known as the “monkey temple” for the hundreds of monkeys in the temple area. Overnight at Hotel.
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Chitwan National park, 150km southwest of Kathmandu. As you leave Kathmandu valley, the road winds through the scenic bank of Trisuli River and after a 5 hours’ drive, you reach and check in to a hotel before the briefing about programs by a guide. After lunch, you go for a guided Tharu village walk and walk around Rapti River to watch charming views of the sub-tropical Jungle. The views of the sunset sometimes accompanied by crocodile sightings on Rapti River might be interesting. In the evening, after dinner, you can enjoy the cultural programs by ethnic people with their stick dance and tribal drums at Tharu cultural hall in Sauraha. Overnight at hotel (B,L,D)
After enjoying the early morning breakfast you will begin dugout canoeing flowing through the Elephant breeding center. You will definitely enjoy watching the Elephants bathing in the river. Jungle safari is the most exhilarating activity enjoyed by the visitors in Chitwan as it takes you around the whole jungle witnessing a diverse variety of animals and vegetation. On this day you make another early start before breakfast for bird-watching as Chitwan is home to a wide species of birds. After breakfast, you start driving to Pokhara which will take about 5 hours. You will enjoy the evening at lakeside with the beauty of the surroundings. After the short visit to lakeside and the market area, you will rest the night at a local hotel. Overnight at Hotel(B)
You will start early with a drive to Sarangkot to capture the tranquil and magical beauty of the city with the sunrise over panoramic view of Himalayas. After breakfast you will visit different places like Mahendra cave, Phewa Lake, Davis fall, Tibetan refugee camp, Seti gorge and World peace Pagoda for best mountain views of the region. You can enjoy the great view of beautiful lakes and forests along with high mountains like Machchhapuchhre, Annapurna, etc. Overnight at Hotel (B)
From Pokhara you will return back to Kathmandu. The wonderful view of the surroundings from the window of the vehicle is always breathtaking. Driving for about 7 to 8 hours, you will return back to Kathmandu and rest the night here. Overnight at Hotel (B)
On this day you start your tour of two more UNESCO World Heritage site cities – Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan is also known as the city of Fine arts as Patan Durbar Square still houses the medieval arts and architecture in their original state. The Durbar Square is full of ancient places, temples and shrines, noted for their exquisite carvings, mostly the Hindu and Buddhist monuments. Similarly, the medieval town of Bhaktapur is a popular tourist destination especially for devotees as it also preserves medieval arts, architecture, culture and lifestyle.
