Buddha Dordenma

Changangkha Lakhang

Chimi Lhakhang also known as Chime Lhakhang is located in a beautiful Buddhist monastery best known for worshipping Phallus. Locate on the outskirt of the Punakha Village, this monastery was built in honor of Drukpa Kunley also known as the ‘Divine Madman’ who preached the methods of Buddhism with sexual tone and humor. Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten
This beautiful Buddhist monastery is best known for the spectacular view it offers from the top that overlooks Punakha Valley. Located just 45 minute's hike from Punakha, this fascinating monastery was built to ward off the evil spirits in the country across the country and world, and to bring peace and harmony to all living beings. This beautiful chorten with religious significance took 9 years to build and you will witness the wrathful deities at its premises who were crafted to counter the evil spirits.
Jigme Dorji National Park
Stretching on an area of 4,316 sq. km., Jigme Dorji National Park houses the distinct species of flora and fauna found in the region. The second largest national park of Bhutan is named after the third king of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
