Himchuli Peak Climbing

Overview

Himchuli peak standing tall at altitude of 6,441m above sea level is one of the most scenic peaks in the whole region. Located in the western Annapurna region, Himchuli peak climbing offers an outstanding view of the other neighboring peaks, meadows and traditional settlements. The snowy peak guards the entrance of Annapurna Sanctuary.

The Himchuli peak climbing is not very difficult if we select the right climbing route. There are numerous routes to climb the Himchuli Peak from south east face, Hinko Cave among others. We have to choose the route according to season. However, the best season to climb Himchuli is spring, April to May and autumn, October to November. The Himchuli Peak was first conquered in October 1971.

Himchuli Trek can be done in both ways; teahouse accommodation or camping. The trek will begin from capital city from where we will take a ride to hilly town of Dunai. Nepal Eco Adventure provides full board packages for enthusiasts like you. The trekking will be much more entertaining, comfortable and informative with Nepal Eco Adventure.

Note: Peak Climbing in Himalayans is not as easy as you think. You need to be of sound mind and body for these expeditions. So for this you need to have good physique first and then leaders with experience for climbing the peak with lot more generosity are needed. Itinerary

Day 1
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.

After getting in the flight at your own lands, your flight will begin to enter at the land of the Himalayas. The glorious view of the high hills from the flight will enables you to make guess that you are now entering at the beautiful land of the earth, Nepal. After getting off the flight, you will be guided towards the HOTEL ROOM by the representative of the Nepal Eco adventure.

Day 2
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara.

From Kathmandu, we will take the drive for about 7 to 8 hours through the panoramic road viewing the wonderful view of the green forest and local settlement of people. The drive goes through the highway and will take us to the most panoramic place of Nepal at Pokhara. The night will be at Pokhara at one of the hotel.

Day 3
Day 03: Pokhara to Beni and then trek to Darbang.

From Pokhara, we will drive towards the Beni for several hours and then we will trek towards the Darbang. The trekking will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trekking trail. The Darbang is situated at the altitude of 1120m above sea level.

Day 4
Day 04: Darbang to Takum.

From Darbang, we will trek towards the Takum. The trekking will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trail to reach at the Takum at the altitude of 1650m above sea level.

Day 5
Day 05: Takum to Lamsang.

From Takum, after having the breakfast, we will move towards the Lamsang. The trekking will offer us great view of the surrounding. The trekking will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trail which will take us to the Lamsang.

Day 6
Day 06: Lamsang to Gurja Gaun.

From Lamsang, we will trek towards the Gurja gaun. The trekking towards the Gurja gaun will be interesting as well. The trekking will continue for about 6 to 7 hours through the main trail. The night will be at Gurja gaun.

Day 7
Day 07: Gurja gaun to Darsinge Kharka.

From Gurja gaun, we will trek towards the Darsinge Kharka. The trekking towards the Darsinge Kharka will go for about 7 to 8 hours through the main trail. The night will be at Darsinge Kharka.

Day 8
Day 08: Darsinge Kharka to Budzunge Kharka.

From Darsinge, we will trek towards the Budzunge Kharka. The trekking will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trail. The night will be at the Budzunge Kharka.

Day 9
Day 09: Trek to Himchuli base camp.

From Budzunge Kharka, we will trek towards the Himchuli peak base camp viewing the wonderful view of the snowy peaks and rough trail. The trekking towards the base camp of the Himchuli will be panoramic as well as interesting too. The trekking will continue for about 5 hours.

Day 10
Day 10-25: Climbing period.

From the base camp of the Himchuli peak, we will make the regular ascent towards the summit of the Himchuli and then will return to the base camp retrieving the same trail. We will rest at different palces while trekking and climbing at the Himchuli peak.

Day 11
Day 26: Base camp to Budzunge Kharka.

From the base camp of the Himchuli peak, we will trek towards the Budzunge Kharka. The trekking will continue for several hours through the main trekking trail to return back to the Budzunge Kharka. The trekking will continue for about 4 to 5 hours.

Day 12
Day 27: Trek to Gurja Gaun.

From the Budzunge Kharka, we will trek towards the Gurja Kharka. The trekking will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trekking trail. The night will be at Gurja gaun.

Day 13
Day 28: Gurja gaun to Lurang village.

From the Gurja gaun, we will trek towards the Lurang. The trekking will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trail. The night will be at Lurang village.

Day 14
Day 29: Lurang to Takum.

From Lurang, we will trek towards the Takum. The trekking towards the Takum will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trekking trail. The night will be at Takum.

Day 15
Day 30: Takum to Darbang.

From Takum, we will trek towards the Darbang passing through the beautiful trekking trail. The trekking towards the Darbang will continue for about 5 to 6 hours through the main trekking trail. The night will be at Darbang.

Day 16
Day 31: Darbang to Pokhara.

From Darbang, we will drive back to Pokhara which will take about 3 to 4 hours to reach at. In the mean time, we can visit at the Pokhara at the different beautiful palces of the region. The night will be resting at the Pokhara.

Day 17
Day 32: Pokhara to Kathmandu.

From Pokhara we will return back to the Kathmandu enjoying the great sight of the surroundings. The wonderful view of the surroundings that we can view from the window of the vehicle will be breathtaking. Driving for about 7 to 8 hours resting at some palces, we will return back to the Kathmandu and rest the night over there.

Day 18
Day 33: Farewell.

From Kathmandu, we will walk towards the airport and will catch the flight towards the home destination. The farewell program organized by the Nepal Eco Adventure at the airport will be interesting to attend. After the farewell, we will board up in the flight and will fly towards the home
