Currency

Nepal

Tourist visas are available on arrival at the international airport in Kathmandu. It is also available at all land border crossings that are open to foreigners. You get visas on the basis of your travel duration as follows:

Clothing and Supplies

Clothing

Tibet:

Due to the high altitude region of Tibet, it remains cool throughout all year round.

From October till March, you need to bring extra warm layers of clothes like thermal under layers.

From April to September, you need not to bring these. During the day, light clothes are enough. Yet, for the nights and early mornings, have a warm jacket or sweater for extra protection.

Nepal:

These seasons of Spring and Autumn have cool temperatures. You can enjoy your tours in warm and sunny days and cool evenings.

During Winter make sure to bring extra warm layers of clothing during this season. It is cold throughout the country with temperatures dropping to negative degrees.
